RIMTA/Polaris MEP Machine & Marine 2021 Program Funded by Real Jobs RI

A short-term Real Jobs RI grant opportunity, funded by the federal CARES Act, could offer your company up to $6,000 in wage and training reimbursement if you hire workers for manufacturing and composite jobs in Rhode Island.

In 2020, Machine & Marine supported the successful hires of roughly 150 unemployed/underemployed Rhode Islanders. In 2021, Polaris MEP and the Rhode Island Marine Trades Association (RIMTA) have teamed up for two new waves. 

What You Could Receive

  • Wage reimbursement of $3,000/new hire ($15/hour for 5 weeks)
  • Additional training reimbursement of up to $3,000/new hire which can be used for on the job training
  • Active recruiting and vetting support from RIMTA and Polaris MEP

 

What You Need to Know

  • New hires/trainees must have been under- or unemployed at the time of hire (between 11/1/2021 and 2/28/2022).
  • New hires/trainees must be making at least $15/hour.
